Audio Tour

Welcome to the Old Rock Jail!

Thank you for visiting the Old Rock Jail Museum. This self-guided audio tour will take you through the rooms of the jail and share the stories of the people who lived, worked, and were held here.

Built in 1936, the Old Rock Jail served Towns County for nearly four decades. Today, the building helps preserve the history of law enforcement, daily life, and community change in our area.

As you walk through the museum, tap the audio button for each room to hear more about what you are seeing.

How to Use This Tour

Begin your visit in the living room with a short welcome to the Old Rock Jail. This stop introduces the building, its history, and what you will experience during the tour.

2: Kitchen

The kitchen tells part of the story of daily life inside the jail. This was a place where meals, family routines, and the responsibilities of operating the jail came together.

3: Hallway

The hallway connects the living quarters with the jail’s working spaces. This stop helps explain how the building was arranged and how people moved through the jail.

4: Museum Room
