Family Search

A nonprofit organization and website offering genealogical records, education, and software.

Newspapers.com

An online archive that provides access to millions of historical and contemporary newspaper pages from across the United States and other countries, allowing users to research genealogy, historical events, and local history.

Find A Grave

A volunteer-run database of cemetery records and gravestone images.

National Archives

U.S. census, military, and immigration records.

Georgia Archives

 

Houses historical records, land grants, wills, and military records, and provides online access to Georgia’s Virtual Vault, which includes digitized records.

Georgia Virtual Vault

Free access to historical documents, including maps, land lotteries, and Confederate pensions.

UGA Hargrett Library

Holds historical manuscripts, newspapers, and rare books related to Georgia history.

GA Historical Society

 

Located in Savannah, it contains personal papers, family histories, and historic photographs.
